Interview with Lillian Morris

Cultural Narrative: 

Lillian Morris talks about her experiences growing up on a farm in Louisa County.  Her father was a farmer who raised tobacco, corn, and wheat. She didn’t have many friends who lived near her, but she did have a lot of family to play with. She gives a detailed account of her time in school. After high school, she went to Virginia Union University and was the first in her family to go to college. Her family attended Mt. Zion and was very involved in the church. She has fond memories of her community and how tight-knit everyone was.
