Interview with George and Elizabeth Marshall

Cultural Narrative: 

George Marshall was born in 1923. He was raised by his parents in Louisa, along with two brothers. He attended Louisa Elementary School and Louisa Presbyterian Church. After fighting in World War II, he ran a Southern States store. Mr. Marshall and his first wife had a son in 1948. He was involved in the local Masons lodge, the Ruritan Club, and the VFW post. Elizabeth and George Marshall married in 1976.

Elizabeth Marshall was raised by her parents on a farm in Fredericks Hall, Virginia. She went to school in Fredericks Hall before attending Mineral Elementary School and Louisa County High School. She attended Louisa Episcopal Church. She and her first husband raised several children in the 1950s. She was a homemaker and later worked at the Bank of Louisa. Elizabeth and George Marshall married in 1976.
